How do I update Zenith Player, and why do I see two Zenith apps?

Updating Zenith Player works the same way as installing it. After a recent update, some customers also notice two Zenith icons on their device. Both are explained below.

How to update

On Fire TV, Android TV or Google TV:

1. Check zenithplayer.us for the current Zenith Downloader code in the install popup.
2. Open Downloader and enter the code.
3. When the download finishes, choose Install.
4. Open the app when it's done.

On an Android phone or tablet:

1. Go to zenithplayer.us in your browser and tap Download.
2. Open the downloaded file and tap Install.

If Google Play Protect shows a warning, choose More details, then Install anyway.

Why there are two Zenith apps

The website version of Zenith Player recently moved to a new app ID. Android treats the new version as a separate app, so instead of replacing the old one, it installs next to it. That's why you can see two Zenith icons.

The new app also shows a new device code, because the code belongs to each copy of the app.

What to do

1. Open the new Zenith app. Note the device code it shows.
2. Send us the new code on WhatsApp or live chat at zenithplayer.us. We'll move your plan to it.
3. Check that the new app unlocks. Once your plan is on the new code, the screen unlocks by itself.
4. Uninstall the old Zenith app so you only have one icon.

Please send us the new code before you remove the old app, so there's no gap in your viewing.

After the move

The new app loads your channels, movies and series once on the first start. Keep it open while it shows "Getting your TV ready". After that, it opens straight away.

Your plan moves with you to the new app, so there's no need to buy a new one.

Update says "App not installed"?

Usually that means low storage or an incomplete download. Free up some space, delete the half-downloaded file and download again.
