How do I lock categories with a PIN? (and I forgot my PIN)

If children use the TV, you may want some categories to stay closed unless an adult says yes. Zenith's Parental control lets you protect categories with a PIN.
Turning on Parental control
- Open the profile avatar in the top-right corner.
- Go to Settings → Parental control.
- Set a PIN you will remember, but that children won't guess.
- Choose the categories you want to protect.
From then on, opening a protected category asks for the PIN first.
Choosing a good PIN
- Avoid easy patterns like 0000 or 1234.
- Don't use a number that's written somewhere near the TV.
- Pick something the adults in the house can remember without writing it down.
Parental control or hiding categories?
These are two different tools, and they work well together:
- Parental control keeps a category visible but locked behind a PIN.
- Category preference switches off categories completely for a profile. You can use the Live, Movies and Series tabs, or Show all / Hide all, to choose. Hidden categories simply disappear for that profile.
A simple set-up for families: give children their own profile, hide the categories they never need in Category preference, and put a PIN on anything else you want to control.
Things to know
- The PIN protects categories, so check new categories from time to time and protect them too if needed.
- Using Reload content downloads your channel, movie and series lists again. Your favourites and history stay.
