The guide times are wrong by an hour or more

You tune in for a programme and something else is on, or the guide says a show ended an hour ago when it has just started. When every listing is off by the same amount, the fix takes under a minute.

Why it happens

The programme times in a guide are set by whoever supplies the listings. Sometimes they are published for a different time zone from yours, or they don't follow a clock change. The channel itself is fine; only the times in the guide are shifted.

Check how far out it is

Before changing anything, work out the gap.

1. Open a live channel from Live TV and note what is actually on.
2. Open the Guide and press Now.
3. Find the same channel and see where that programme sits on the time ruler.

If the guide shows it one hour earlier or later than it really is, you know which way to move it.

Use Time shift to correct it

1. Select the profile avatar (top-right) and open Settings.
2. Go to TV guide source.
3. Find Time shift and pick −1 h, No shift or +1 h:
   • Choose +1 h if programmes in the guide appear an hour too early.
   • Choose −1 h if they appear an hour too late.
4. Select Load now so the guide refreshes with the new times.
5. Go back to the Guide and compare again with what is playing.

If it is still off, try the other option, or set it back to No shift and check again.

After a clock change

If your guide was correct for months and suddenly drifts by an hour, a clock change is the likely cause. Adjust Time shift as above. When the clocks change back, return it to No shift.

Using your own guide link

If you pasted your own XMLTV link into TV guide source, the times come from that link. Time shift works on it too, so the steps are the same.

Reminders and recordings

Reminders and recordings set from the guide follow the programme times you see. Correct the times first, then set any new reminders or recordings so they line up with the real start.
