The sound doesn't match the picture

When speech doesn't line up with people's lips, it's hard to enjoy anything. Sync problems can come from a single stream or from the way your devices are connected, so the first job is to find out which.
Check whether it's one stream or everything
Play a few different channels and a movie.
- Only one channel is out of sync: the delay is likely in that stream from your TV provider. Try it again later; it often sorts itself out.
- Everything is out of sync: the cause is more likely your device or sound setup. Keep going.
Restart the stream and the app
Sometimes a delay builds up during long viewing.
- Switch to another channel, then back again.
- If that doesn't help, close Zenith Player fully and reopen it.
- Still off? Restart your TV box too.
Using a soundbar or AV receiver?
Extra equipment between your box and your ears can change how sound is handled. In Settings → Playback, try switching Dolby / DTS passthrough the other way (on if it's off, off if it's on) and compare. Passthrough sends surround sound untouched to the soundbar or receiver, while with it off the app handles the sound itself. Keep whichever way gives you better sync.
Try the decoding setting
If you're on an older or busy device, the picture may struggle to keep up. Try turning Prefer software decoding on or off in Settings → Playback and test again. Keep in mind that software decoding uses more of the device's power, so it isn't always the faster option.
Check Match frame rate
Match frame rate switches your TV to the video's frame rate. If sync problems began after you changed it, set it back to how it was and compare.
Still stuck?
